Some parents and students, who reacted to the failure to prevent mass poisoning cases in Iran, mostly in girls’ schools and the source of which has not yet been determined, held a demonstration in front of the Education Directorate in the city of Şahinşehr.
According to the images shared on social media, a large group of parents and students gathered in front of the Education Directorate in the city of Şahinşehr in the province of Isfahan, protesting the poisoning cases that occurred in schools. It was seen that the security forces intervened with tear gas to the group, which reacted to the failure to prevent mass poisoning cases and shouted slogans against the authorities.
Since November 30, 2022, there have been cases of mass poisoning in schools in Iran, where mostly female students are educated. Thousands of students have been poisoned in hundreds of schools across the country so far.
Iran’s leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said in a statement on March 6, when the public’s anxiety increased, that he had instructed the authorities to take the incident seriously and punish the perpetrators with the most severe punishment. The special investigative committee formed by the House to investigate the matter is expected to present its final report within a week.
