Point guard Raul Neto has agreed to stay with the Washington Wizards, The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported.
With the departure of Russell Westbrook to the Lakers, the team from the United States capital moved quickly to retain Neto. Now the expectation is that he will be the backup point guard for the newly acquired Spencer Dinwiddie.
Raul Neto averaged 8.7 points, 2.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists in 64 games (22 as a starter) in the 2020-2021 season with the Wizards. In his career he has also played for the Utah Jazz and the Philadelphia 76ers.
