Point guard Lillard extended his contract with Portland after the worst season in the NBA

The 31-year-old Olympic champion from Tokyo Lillard underwent abdominal surgery in January, with which he had problems since the beginning of the season. Originally he was only supposed to come in a few weeks, but he didn’t play anymore. He managed only 29 games, averaging 24 points, seven assists and four rebounds per game.

Thanks to the new contract, the six-time All-Star will remain in Portland until 2027. In total, Lillard played in 711 games in the NBA and averaged 24.6 points.
