The Ministry of Health and Social Action gave an update on the situation of the Covid-19 epidemic in Senegal, this Monday, June 29, 2020.
Out of 956 tests carried out, 112 returned positive, i.e. a positivity rate of 11.7%.
These are 99 contact cases already followed up and 13 cases resulting from community transmission. These are distributed as follows: 02 in Colobane, 02 in Rufisque, 02 in Touba, 01 in Sipress, 01 in Dalifort, 01 in Keur Massar, 01 in Kaolack, 01 in Mbao, 01 in Nord Foire and 01 in Plateau.
The Director of Cabinet of the Minister of Health also announced the healing of 50 patients who were on treatment and 27 serious cases. Three (3) new deaths related to Covid-19 were recorded on Sunday June 28, 2020.
To date, Senegal has 6,698 cases declared positive, of which 4,341 have been cured, 108 have died and therefore 2,248 under treatment.
