Pogba, the anti-doping prosecutor asks for a four-year disqualification

No plea bargain, the Frenchman from Juventus will go to trial and now risks a huge blow

The National Anti-Doping Prosecutor’s Office has requested a four-year ban for Paul Pogba. No plea deal therefore, as had been rumored in recent days, for the Frenchman from Juventus, who was found positive for synthetic testosterone in the test carried out by the anti-doping laboratory in Rome after Udinese-Juventus, played on 20 August.

Suspended as a precaution on 12 September, the Juventus midfielder also tested positive in the counter-analysis, the results of which were obtained on 6 October. The four-year request corresponds to the sanction foreseen for doping if there is no plea bargain: apparently the player would have refused what would have kept him away from the pitch for two years. Pogba will then go to trial before the National Anti-Doping Tribunal.
