Pogba announces his retirement due to injury

Milan (AFP) – The French national football team, holder of the Russia 2018 edition, has received a new painful blow by announcing their midfielder and Juventus, Paul Pogba, to withdraw from the Qatar 2022 edition due to injury.

“After the medical examinations made yesterday (Sunday) and today (Monday), it is very distressing to report that Paul Pogba still needs to recover after the operation (knee in early September)”, Pogba’s lawyer and agent Rafaela Pimenta said in a statement. The reason is that Paul cannot enter (…) the French national team in Qatar. “

Pogba, who contributed to the title in 2018, underwent meniscus surgery in early September, and in recent days he resumed group training with Juventus, but on Sunday he reported a new muscle injury that will delay his recovery, so it will be difficult to choose him in the final list that will be announced by coach Didier Deschamps on November 9th.

The tests that Pogba underwent in Turin and then in Pittsburgh (USA) confirmed the impossibility of Pogba’s participation in the global wedding, which will begin on November 20.

Pogba was the second painful blow for the French side in midfield after Chelsea English star N’Golo Kante, who had previously announced his retirement for the same reason.

“If unlikely wishes they can change things, play Paul tomorrow,” Pimenta added in the statement. “But what changes things is hard work, resilience and discipline, which are the only things he’s currently thinking about in these difficult times.”

“Paul will continue to do everything in his power to return to the stadiums for the fans and his team as soon as possible.”

Pogba, 29, hasn’t played an official match since last April. He was a Yemeni as his departure from Manchester United this summer and his return to Juventus would help boost his professional career, but he got injured just before the start of the season.
