Podcast: Erika Vikman being honest about combining relationship and publicity: “The price must be paid” –

Artists Erika Vikman says Radio Nova Sunday brunchpodcast about the price of publicity, among other things. He admits that he thought about whether he necessarily wants to recommend publicity to anyone.

– Of course, follow your dreams, but this industry is so disrupted that you should think carefully. A big price is paid here, the singer states in the episode.

– Yes, I feel well at the moment, but yes, I have a big wave. Sometimes I feel like I’m at a mixing point, and sometimes I find that crumb of balance to hold on to. But yes, it would take a really decent life to be able to handle this. But who can handle a normal life? Damn boring too, he adds.

Podcast host Esko Eerikäinen asks Vikman if it was difficult to find a balance between the relationship and the public. Vikman confirmed that she will date the doctor in May 2023.

– After all, those partner things are always difficult. In a way, I’d like to keep them private when it’s so personal. Then, however, we always start doing detective work and then tear it up. It’s heavy, but that price has to be paid, the artist states.

Vikman states right after that he is happy to be able to spend time with someone who is not from the same field.

– Usually, if you are with a person who is in the same field, the topics of conversation at home are easily about some upcoming song, promo photos and TV appearances. There are no other topics, because it’s just a fact that even in your free time you just think about work, the artist says.

– It’s really refreshing to hear about someone else’s industry, even if you don’t understand anything about it. It is a wonderful door to other parts of this artistry, he continues.

Vikman’s doctor lover has stayed out of the public eye, but he has sometimes been seen with his face covered in the singer’s Instagram updates. Vikman told Iltalehti in July 2023 that the relationship has brought much-needed balance to his hectic everyday life.

– It seems that such an ordinary life is in a good balance, which is what is needed, because this kind of running an artist circus is such an extreme sport, he laughed.
