Frankfurt guitarist Jean-Peter Braun discovered the magic of Brazilian music early on. He loves all the bossa novas, choros and sambas in the tradition of Baden Powell or Joao Gilberto. With “Lamentos do Morro” he has now released his second solo CD.
His expanded repertoire now also includes pieces with a typically Brazilian flair by Lyle Mays, Yamandu Costa and Romero Lubambo. There are a few samples of it in this show along with lots of other “music without borders”. (8/2/23)
