POCO, an independent brand from Xiaomi has officially launched the POCO M4 Pro 5G. This smartphone comes as the last device from POCO to be launched this year and it really doesn’t disappoint. Yes! The device bears a striking resemblance to the Redmi Note 11 in terms of design.
The POCO M4 Pro 5G is the successor to the POCO M3 Pro 5G which was launched a few months ago and emerged as the best-selling model in several European countries. The M4 Pro 5G enhances the performance of the M3 Pro 5G with the presence of an improved MediaTek Dimensity 810 Octa-core chipset built on the 6nm process.
Interestingly, this chipset also incorporates a Mali-G57 GPU. The MediaTek Dimensity 810 is paired with 4GB/6GB of RAM, while there are internal storage options of 64GB and 128GB. The M4 Pro 5G comes with a 6.6-inch FHD+ screen.
The screen also doesn’t disappoint, because POCO has embedded the ability to touch sampling rate of 240Hz and refresh rate of 90Hz. The screen is also equipped with a DCI-P3 Wide color gamut that brings vibrancy to color output. There is also a punch-hole at the top that houses the front camera.
In terms of battery life, the POCO M4 Pro 5G retains a 5,000 mAh battery that offers up to 2 days of battery life. The device is also equipped with what POCO calls 33W Pro fast charging technology using MMT charging technology.
Described by POCO that this MMT charging technology charges through two electric currents instead of one, thereby speeding up charging while avoiding overheating. The battery can charge from zero to 100% in just 59 minutes.
In terms of photography, the M4 Pro 5G has a triple camera setup on the back. The setup consists of a 50 MP main camera and an ultra-wide lens. There is also a 16 MP front camera sensor, which is larger than the 8 MP sensor found on the M3 Pro 5G. The phone is also equipped with dual speakers, X-axis linear motor, and NFC.
The M4 Pro 5G runs on the latest MIUI 12.5 for POCO which is said to bring a 22% reduction in CPU usage and 15% less power consumption. POCO M4 Pro 5G comes in Power Black, Cool Blue, and of course the beautiful color that always attracts attention, POCO Yellow.
POCO M4 Pro 5G 4 GB RAM variant with 64 GB internal storage is sold for € 199 or equivalent to Rp. 3.3 million. Meanwhile, the 6 GB RAM variant with 128 GB of internal storage is priced at € 219 or equivalent to Rp. 3.6 million.
