Xiaomi has revealed its latest budget phone overseas under the name of Poco C50. The phone has modest specs and a price that doesn’t exceed around $80.
The new phone is actually a rebranding of the Redmi A1+ phone, but the company has re-introduced it again under the Poco C50 name and introduced it first in India.
Specifications of the Poco C50
The Poco C50 features a 6.52-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 720×1600 pixels, with a refresh rate of just 60Hz.
This screen includes a 5-megapixel selfie camera located inside a water drop-shaped bump.
At the rear, the new phone offers dual rear cameras, one of which is a depth sensor and the other is an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera, and there is also a fingerprint scanner alongside the cameras.
At the heart of the phone is a 12nm MediaTech Helio A22 chip with 2GB or 3GB of RAM depending on the version and 32GB of internal storage expandable via a microSD card slot.
The Poco C50 runs on Android 12 Go with the MIUI level for POCO on top and has a leather-like texture on the back, giving it the ability to resist water splashes.

Price and availability:
The phone has been officially launched in India and comes in two colors, royal blue and green, and there are two models available in the Flipkart store.
The first model packs 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, priced at 6,499 Indian rupees, “equivalent to about $78”, but will launch at a reduced price of 6,249 Indian rupees, “$75”.
As for the second version, it contains 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage space, and is priced at 6999 Indian rupees, about $85.
Finally, the new phone is now only available abroad and the company has not yet explained the possibility of its availability in other markets.
