Pocket arrested, free because he’s still pregnant – News of the World

In more than twenty years of “career” he has committed 148 crimes. A veritable gallery of illegal activities that also included fraud, even if the main business was pickpocketing and robberies carried out in the subways of Rome and Milan.

A very popular criminal curriculum which, however, until today, only cost her a few days in prison. The main character is a 31-year-old woman, a Roma of Croatian origin, who managed to avoid going behind bars for fifteen years thanks to her obsession with an instrument. Just like Sofia Loren in the famous 1963 movie “Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow”, the girl planned her mind to avoid being arrested.

A modus operandi in which nothing was left to chance and which continued until today, when the handcuffs were put on her. The carabinieri of the Pomezia company and the Tor de Cenci station, by order of the Capital Prosecutor’s Office, arrested her in the nomadic camp of Castel Romano, where her home was, and transferred her to the women’s section of the Rebibbia pen. The thirty-one man must, of course, serve a consecutive sentence of about 30 years in prison.

According to what was confirmed by the investigators, the criminal activity of the woman began in 2004, when she was still a child: the first attacks, skillful robbery, in the metro of Rome. As the years passed, it was decided to expand the field of action to other parts of Italy and especially to the Milanese capital and Brescia.
Exactly in Milan, in September 2019, when she was 26 years old, the woman was stopped by the police and arrested. However, the arrest lasted only a short time: the woman was, in fact, released soon after, having her sentence delayed because she was pregnant and ready to give birth. However, her criminal activity continued over the years: a serial pickpocket and a real nightmare for commuters on subways and public transport. However, the activities of investigators and judges have not stopped either. Of course the girl stopped again and tried several times. But the script is always the same: she comes back free because she has a big belly.

However, the sentences gradually accumulated and the number of sentences entered, reaching a total number, a record figure, which is almost 30 years in prison.
Wednesday morning the Carabinieri hit the caravan where she lived and informed her of the order issued by the magistrates of Piazzale Clodio.
