Soviet theater and cinema actress Svetlana Kharitonova has died. The Union of Cinematographers of Russia reported to ITAR-TASS that Kharitonova died on January 8 of this year at the age of 79 after a serious illness. The actress would have turned 80 on January 30 this year. In 1954, Kharitonova graduated from the Moscow Art Theater School. From 1957-1969 she worked at the Theater of Satire in Moscow.
