Pochettino’s Record Against Arsenal: Can Chelsea Continue the Positive Momentum?

Jakarta

Mauricio Pochettino has a pretty okay record against Arsenal. Chelsea will hope that the record continues at once to continue the positive momentum.

London is on fire this weekend because Chelsea will duel against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge, Sunday (22/10/2023) evening WIB. The Blues is on the rise after winning its last two matches, after only winning once in its first six matches.

However, Chelsea’s mission to get a hat-trick of wins was faced with a difficult match. Arsenal is going fast after being unbeaten in the first eight matches, gaining six wins. Plus, Chelsea is not supported by a convincing record against its city rivals.

The Blue is recorded as having suffered five defeats and only won once in the last six duels against Arsenal in this competition. Chelsea even lost in their last three meetings, conceding eight goals.

Even so, there is hope for Chelsea to end this bad record. The manager, Pochettino, has never lost to Arsenal at home with three wins and three draws in six matches. Pochettino got these results when coaching Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur.

Pochettino marked his last home match against Arsenal with a 1-1 result when coaching Tottenham in March 2019. Meanwhile, Pochettino’s last win over Arsenal at home occurred with a score of 1-0 in February 2018, also when he was Spurs boss.
