London –
Future Harry Kane with Tottenham Hotspur being gray, and the new Chelsea manager, Mauricio Pochettino was asked about the opportunity to return to work with the 29-year-old striker. What the answer?
“I don’t like to talk about players owned by other clubs, but you are discussing one of the best strikers in the world. It would be unfair to keep silent,” Pochettino said, quoted by The Athletic.
“The people aren’t stupid, the fans aren’t stupid, they are very smart and they know my relationship with Kane has always been amazing. I saw him when he was young, growing and achieving everything he had, and our relationship is great.”
“Right now, we are thinking in a different direction. We are not discussing that (Kane moving to Chelsea). Of course we are working hard to build a squad that has good quality,” explained Pochettino.
Kane, whose contract at Tottenham has one year left and has not been extended, is currently being targeted by Bayern Munich, who are hunting for the ultimate number 9. They have so far offered 70 million Euros to Spurs, but were rejected.
Meanwhile, Chelsea, who scored only 38 goals in the Premier League last season, have realized their needs up front and brought in Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson, and still have Romelu Lukaku, Raheem Sterling, Mykhailo Mudryk, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
