Mauricio Pochettino ready to go back to training. The former Tottenham Hotspur manager missed being involved again in football matches.
Pochettino has been out of work for almost a year after being sacked by Tottenham in November 2019. The Argentinian was dismissed after Tottenham achieved a series of poor results in the Premier League.
Later, Pochettino was linked with Manchester United. The current MU manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, is under great pressure following the poor results achieved by the Red Devils.
Finally, MU lost to Arsenal in the Premier League last week. Marcus Rashford et al have just collected seven points from six matches and fell in 15th place Premier League standings.
In the midst of rumors linking him to MU, Pochettino said he was ready to train again. The 48-year-old man has missed being busy as a football team coach.
“I always feel ready to be involved again in the match. I love football. That’s my passion, not my job,” said Pochettino as reported Mirror.
“It’s not stress when you work. Not stress when you go to training. Not stress when you have to prepare for a match, not when you have to compete.”
“My hair is getting longer and longer, but I hope I can cut it as soon as I start working again.”
“I’m looking forward to getting back into the game. I love this game. In these times, it’s hard. We’re inside, running errands.”
“But not discouraged by being involved every day, sharing with your players, with the staff, the club. I think you always miss that. That’s the reality,” said Pochettino.
