Mexicans and specifically the people of Puebla have managed to stand out in various areas throughout the globe, so fashion is no exception, the most recent scenario being New York Fashion Weekwhich took place between February 9 and 15, within which the natives of Angelópolis paraded, Illiana Lorey and Claudia Montesinos.
This event brought together brands from all over the world who took advantage of the spotlight to present their designs that will be available for the autumn-winter 2023 season, among which the Puebla brand Illi also appeared through the MM México Moda platform, which will seek take their signatures to other fashion weeks in the world such as Paris, Tokyo and Vancouver.
How was the participation of the poblanas in the New York Fashion Week?
It was specifically on February 12 when the poblanas stepped on the catwalks of this important event, the first of them being Claudia Montesinos, who served as inspiration for the collection that received the name of Liberation, created by Jasive Fernández, choosing her for her work as a businesswoman. and mainly as a writer for her work “Libera tus alas”.
And it is that in addition to serving as inspiration for the collection, Montesinos also sponsored the platform that made the trip possible; For her part, Illiana Lorey participated with her brand Illi, which was created six years ago to make bags inspired by Puebla, which seek to convey admiration to the angels in charge of protecting the city according to legend.
Over the years, this brand began to be nourished not only with designs inspired by Puebla, but also decided to expand throughout the country, making use of raw materials, cultural color and all those that give Mexico its identity, each piece being manufactured. handmade in a workshop in the city of Puebla with both national and international skins.
