The PNV spokesman in the Congress of Deputies, Aitor Esteban, has announced this Wednesday that he will hold a “courtesy” meeting with the president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, but has reiterated that he will not have the support of the nationalists for the investiture because his party will not enter “combinations” in which Vox is. “We, if the PP calls us, I think that out of minimal courtesy you have to go to the meeting,” Esteban has indicated, who has qualified that the meeting can serve for him and Feijóo to get to know each other, something that has not yet happened. “But it will not serve for anything else,” warned the PNV leader, reiterating his party’s position of rejection of supporting the investiture of the ‘popular’ candidate for requiring the votes of the 33 Vox deputies. “In an investiture by the hand of Vox we are not going to participate”, he has influenced in some statements released by the Basque formation. Esteban has referred to the date chosen by the president of Congress, Francina Armengol, for the investiture debate, September 26 and 27, and has indicated that it is “evident” that if the sessions were not held next week to pass them at the end of the month so that, if they are unsuccessful, the elections do not have to be repeated at Christmas.
