celebritiesP!NK (44) and her husband Carey Hart (48) are celebrating their 18th wedding anniversary after a difficult period in which they almost didn’t make it, the singer herself shares on Instagram.
P!NK and her husband Carey have been together for 22 years and married in 2006. But things did not always turn out to be so easy for the couple. In the meantime, they share children Willow (12) and Jameson (6) and they seem stronger than ever, but that was once different.
Alecia Beth Moore, aka P!NK, marked their anniversary on Instagram with a number of photos from over the years. “Love is coming back to the table for a lifetime,” she begins the caption. “We almost didn’t make it to this wedding anniversary, a couple almost didn’t to be honest,” she continues. She then turns to her husband Carey: “When I met you 22 years ago, I just wanted someone who wouldn’t lie to me. I had no idea about commitment, building a life together, intimacy, trust… you name it.”
The singer also admits that marriage is very difficult, but that she is happy where they are now. “The family we have built, the stories we have woven together and the memories we continue to make are worth more than a thousand million prizes anyone could give me. I love you and I love us.”
P!NK and Carey met in 2001 and after a brief split in 2003, the singer proposed to Carey in 2005. The star previously poked fun at their split as they celebrated their 12th anniversary, writing: “12 years married today. Actually 16 if you count the 4 years we spent deciding whether to stay together forever or kill each other.”
