“PMC Wagner Leader Yevgeny Prigozhin Withdraws Units from Bakhmut due to Ammo Shortage”

“I officially appeal to the Chief of the General Staff, the Minister of Defense, the Supreme Commander and the people of Russia. I declare on behalf of the fighters of the PMC Wagner, on behalf of the command of the PMC Wagner, that on May 10 we are forced to transfer positions in the village of Bakhmut to units of the Ministry of Defense and withdraw the remnants of the Wagner PMC to the rear camps to lick their wounds,” he said.

According to him, he made such a decision, allegedly because of the shortage of shells among the “Wagnerites”.

“I am withdrawing Wagner units from Bakhmut, because in the absence of ammunition they are doomed to a senseless death,” Prigozhin said.

It should be noted that on the eve of this statement, Prigozhin published a video against the backdrop of the Wagnerites who died in the war. He appealed to Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Chief of the Russian General Staff Valery Gerasimov with an appeal to provide ammunition. Because due to the “shell hunger” its occupiers are dying en masse.

Prigozhin used to throw fakes about Bakhmut

It should be noted that this is not the first time the leader of the “Wagnerites” makes such statements about Bakhmut. Earlier, Yevgeny Prigozhin launched a fake that he allegedly ordered the units to “suspend firing in the Bakhmut area,” but later said that he was just “joking.”

The losses of the “Wagnerites” are really colossal

Recall that the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reported on the colossal losses of PMC “Wagner”. According to analysts, only a fifth of the “Wagnerites” remained at the front.

At the same time, according to the White House, more than 30,000 Wagner PMC soldiers have already died in Ukraine, and they continue to suffer heavy losses.

Interestingly, Prigozhin’s mercenaries are now the main force of the invaders who are trying to capture Bakhmut.

However, the Armed Forces of Ukraine were informed that if they did not establish a source of supply for personnel and did not change tactics, they could be enough at the front for another month or two.
