PMC “Wagner” is written off early. The whole world is waiting for a sensation – 2024-08-25 17:27:52

/ world today news/ The whole world is waiting for clear information about the location of PMC Wagner. Some with hope, others with anxiety, and still others with panic. Most are sure that the story of this most effective military unit is not over. So sensations are indispensable. Let’s analyze what is happening.

The former chief of the British General Staff, Richard Danat, believes that the presence of “musicians” on the territory of Belarus could be dangerous for Zelensky’s regime.

He did not rule out that a campaign against Kiev could be prepared. Thus, the events of June 24 in Rostov-on-Don take on a completely new meaning. Let’s discuss this with military expert Alexander Artamonov.

To start the chronicle

The events of June 24 in Russia appeared on the front pages of Western publications. US intelligence was reportedly aware of Wagner PMC head Yevgeny Prigozhin’s preparations for rebellion and feared excesses with Russia’s nuclear arsenal.

Western media claim that destabilizing the situation in Russia would benefit Kiev. However, these plans failed.

At the same time, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken believes that “many new questions have emerged that President Vladimir Putin will have to resolve in the coming weeks and months.”

Prigogine, in turn, said that he considered the actions of the Wagnerites not a military rebellion, but rather a “march of justice.” According to him, they planned to disband his squad, and a deadline was given – until the first of July.

“As a result of intrigues, thoughtless decisions, this unit had to cease to exist on July 1, 2023,” said PMC head Wagner.

After that, a general meeting of PMC commanders was held, at which this information was brought to them. As Prigozhin said, only 1-2% of the total number of “musicians” were not against concluding an agreement with the Ministry of Defense.

All the others categorically refused, motivating their decision with the fact that in the current conditions and according to the experience of conducting a special operation, “it will lead to a complete loss of combat capability.”

Prigogine claims that everyone who participated in this “march of justice” understood why they were doing it. He emphasized that going to Rostov and Moscow, they “did not kill a single soldier on the ground”, and the plane shot down by the “musicians” was a response to missile attacks in their direction.

According to the head of the PMC, they did not aim to overthrow the current regime and the legally elected government. But the march, he said, showed there were “serious security problems” across Russia. And the events of June 23-24 were a reconstruction of what could have been February 24, 2022.

A huge contribution to the resolution of this conflict was made by the head of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko.

According to Prigozhin, he “reached out and offered to find solutions for the further work of PMC Wagner within the legal jurisdiction.”

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, answering a question about what the alliance thinks about the consequences of all these events, confused Russia with Germany. Speaking in Lithuania, he said “what we have seen in recent days in Russia demonstrates the fragility of the regime in Germany.”

Then objections were heard from the audience that it was not about Germany. Stoltenberg then apologized and added that “to the Russian regime, we see the weakness of the Russian regime.”

The host of “First Russian” Yuriy Pronko believes that the situation is developing. And the external silence, according to him, speaks of very meticulous work behind tightly closed doors. He talked about this with the military expert Alexander Artamonov in the program “Tsarigrad. Main”.

Prigogine shook everyone

As Alexander Artamonov noted, several factors, external and internal, are simultaneously important in this situation. But it’s too early to talk about personnel changes, he said. There are no final decisions and no final understanding of what is what.

At the same time, according to the expert, it is hard to believe that Yevgeny Prigozhin could simply declare a rebellion without coordinating his actions with anyone.

Yes, it was once practiced by Polish feudal lords. They really had a perfectly legitimate right to openly express their dissatisfaction with the power and the solutions that the rulers offered them.

“And their dissatisfaction even had its own name – “roar”. The Polish feudal lords raised a rumble when they saw that something was not going as they wanted,” emphasized Artamonov.

Something similar can be traced, of course, in Prigozhin’s interview, the military expert notes. This desire to “shake it all up” can be traced in almost all the speeches. What Prigogine actually did – shook everyone.

“During the suppression of the rebellion, at least 15 soldiers were killed. I understand that one is used to counting the fallen in the hundreds. But when it is our own and not the enemy, it is doubly terrible. Because every life is precious” , said the expert.

“According to Prigozhin, there were dead people in the convoy accompanying him. And all these deaths are on his conscience,” stressed Alexander Artamonov.

According to the expert, much remains behind the scenes. And until the relevant work is done, there can be no talk of any rearrangements.

It’s too early to write off “musicians”

Alexander Artamonov emphasized that to a greater extent the responsibility for the conduct of the SVO and for the work of the General Staff rests with Valery Gerasimov. In addition, he is personally responsible to President Vladimir Putin for the operational conduct of military operations.

“Why should I replace him, with whom should I replace him? I don’t understand and I don’t see. And on this occasion, I can’t add anything here and I don’t want to,” said Artamonov.

He also thinks that it is too early to “write off” the “musicians”. According to Artamonov, their presence in the Central African Republic, Sudan or Burkina Faso is beneficial to the state both militarily and politically.

“PMC “Wagner” performs important work in the Central African Republic. Their base is located in Mali, it belonged to the foreign legion,” he said.

“And they are doing very important work there. They are also invited to Sudan. Not only for training local units, but also from a military-political point of view. I remind you that we have an agreement with Sudan on the construction of a naval base on their territory,” he emphasized Artamonov.

“And the port of Sudan is the most important place. In fact, it pinches the southern sea route. And it is the main supply artery of the West,” the expert said.

He added that at one time a monument to “musicians” was even erected in Bangui, Africa. And in the Central African Republic, which has very friendly relations with Russia, their work is highly appreciated.

“Wagner” is preparing for a march to Kiev?

The interlocutor of Constantinople also commented on the reaction of the Western world to the events in Russia. He addressed the British agenda.

Thus, the former chief of the British General Staff, Colonel-General Richard Danat, announced a possible campaign of “Wagnerians” against Kiev.

He considers their presence in Belarus a serious threat, believing that Prigozhin’s soldiers could pose a danger to the Ukrainian regime. Although Artamonov considers such a scenario very adventurous.

“I understand that Westerners have concerns. And it is too early to dismiss them. From now on, we are not responsible for the activities of citizen Prigozhin from any country,” he said.

“If he leaves the territory of Russia, and with him some of the backbone of his corps, then Alexander Grigorievich will already decide what he will do and how. And Alexander Grigorievich has his own laws and his own approach to life,” the expert believes.

“Also, they have an extraordinary measure of punishment, as far as we know. Belarus is not Russia,” Alexander Artamonov said.

According to him, the West was preparing for the Russian leadership to make some sensational statements. They expected it like everyone else. Much is not seen by the public, thirsty for some high-profile cases, sensations. Because most problems are solved behind closed doors. And it is important that this work continues 24 hours a day, the military expert concluded.
