PM Modi’s visit to Ukraine: PM Modi expressed concern over the ongoing conflict in Ukraine

A day before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s much-awaited visit to conflict-ravaged Ukraine, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said India can play an essential and constructive role in resolving the war between Russia and Ukraine. Tusk also said PM Modi’s visit to Ukraine would be “historic.” PM Modi expressed concern over the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and West Asia, stressing that India supports dialogue and diplomacy for the early restoration of peace and stability.

The Polish Prime Minister also noted that Prime Minister Modi has confirmed his desire to be prepared for a peaceful and proper end to the war.

At a joint press meeting with Prime Minister Modi in Warsaw, Tusk said: “We have started with an explanation on very emotional issues. Prime Minister Modi has confirmed his desire to be ready for a peaceful, just and immediate end to the conflict.” War We believe that India can play an essential and very constructive role, so this announcement is very important for us: in 10 hours you will visit Ukraine.

Prime Minister Modi today said India firmly believes that no problem can be resolved on the battlefield and added that it is ready to extend all possible cooperation to restore peace and stability in the region.

After extensive discussions with his Polish counterpart, PM Modi said, “The ongoing conflict in Ukraine and West Asia is a matter of deep concern for all of us. India firmly believes that no problem can be resolved on the battlefield.”

He added: “The loss of innocent lives in any crisis is the greatest challenge for all humanity. We support dialogue and diplomacy for a rapid restoration of peace and stability.”

Prime Minister Modi arrived in Warsaw on Wednesday to mark the 70th anniversary of strategic ties between the two countries. This is the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Poland in nearly half a century.

In the second leg of the two-country visit, Prime Minister Modi will be in kyiv for about seven hours on Friday. He will depart by train for the Ukrainian capital this evening and the journey will take about 10 hours. This will be the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Ukraine.
