In his weekly post on social media on Sunday, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis stressed that the 2025 state budget will allocate €1.1 billion more in measures to support citizens and businesses compared to the 2024 budget.

Describing the budget as “socially oriented,” Mitsotakis noted that it will be debated in the plenary session of Parliament from December 11 to 15.

According to Mitsotakis, the budget includes 12 wage increases and 12 tax reductions, with an economic growth projection of 2.3%, significantly higher than the EU average.

It will also focus on reducing public debt while introducing measures to encourage investment and innovation, address demographic and housing challenges, increase national defense spending and tackle climate change.

Mitsotakis also emphasized that the budget is financially responsible and almost balanced.
