Invited guests The 43rd Summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) arrived in Jakarta. One of them is the Prime Minister (PM) of the Cook Islands, Mark Brown.
Mark Brown arrived at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Tangerang, Banten, Sunday (3/9/2023) evening. The arrival of Mark Brown was welcomed by the Secretary General (Secretary General) of the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) Novie Riyant and the Acting Governor of Banten Al Muktabar.
Previously, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno L Marsudi said the Cook Islands were invited because of his position as Chair of the Pacific Island Forum (PIF). Indonesia needs to disseminate information roadmap cooperation between ASEAN countries and the Indo-Pacific.
Apart from PM Cook Islands, Cambodian PM Hun Manet has arrived in Indonesia. Hun Manet arrived at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Tangerang, Monday (4/9), around 11.30 WIB.
The arrival of the Cambodian PM was greeted by a line of honor troops and traditional dances. Also seen welcoming the arrival of the Cambodian PM in the country, including the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno and the Cambodian Ambassador to Indonesia Iv Heang.
Then, it’s also today to follow the network ASEAN Summitnamely Prime Minister of Timor Leste Kay Rala Xanana Gusmao and Prime Minister of Vietnam Pham Minh Chinh.
The four of them are scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) today at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta.

22 Heads of State Will Attend ASEAN Summit
It is known, a total of 22 countries attended, there were 11 ASEAN countries, namely Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Brunei Darussalam, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia and Timor Leste.
Then, there were nine countries whose partners were invited including the Republic of Korea, India, Japan, China, New Zealand, Canada, Australia, Russia and the United States (US).
