The MRC de Montcalm is delighted with the phenomenal success of its charity evening “Gastronomy and Casino”, held on October 25 at the L’Opale hall in Saint-Lin-Laurentides. This event, which combined pleasure and generosity, made it possible to raise a record sum of 85 000 $ for the benefit of the Social Pediatrics Center of the Lanaudière community.
This exceptional collection will contribute to the opening, in the coming months, of a third service center in Sainte-Julienne. This new center will offer pediatric, psychosocial and legal care to around a hundred children from disadvantaged backgrounds, thus supporting their development and well-being.
Nearly 250 guests were able to enjoy a sumptuous four-course Italian-inspired gourmet meal, accompanied by carefully selected wines. This feast was prepared by the talented Groupe Rosa, led by David Fuoco. The evening continued with draws for door prizes, an auction hosted by prefect Patrick Massé, and concluded with a casino games fair, all in a friendly and festive atmosphere.
Of this amount, $10,000 comes from the Région and Rurality Fund (FRR), intended for the purchase of furniture for the new Sainte-Julienne center.
