Plume de P: Nothing is going well anymore

How can a rich country produce poor people and how can a poor country produce ultra-rich people?

Don’t people in rich countries have everything they need to become educated, healthy citizens who can create wealth?

In poor countries, people lack everything: food, drinking water, electricity, decent housing, medicines… How can they hoard money when their first concern is to survive?

Questions which are irrelevant for some but which for others seem entirely legitimate in view of everything that threatens social cohesion.

Poverty is gaining ground and no country can boast of being spared from it. The populations of rich countries are gradually becoming poorer and those of poor countries are following their inexorable slide.

Will poverty be global? Undeniably, because it will be difficult to turn things around. The handful of individuals who share the world’s wealth will do everything to maintain their hegemony by making themselves indispensable. Without them, who will scatter crumbs to the hungry crowds?

But if we can ask ourselves how to be poor when everything around us is opulence, we can also form an opinion of what the daily life of a wealthy person surrounded by distress could be like!

Nothing is going right anymore! We have all taken a wrong turn!
