An ominous tragedy took place hours ago in the Plovdiv village of Zhelyazno.
A mother stabbed her 8-year-old daughter several times, after which she stabbed herself with the blade, Maritsa reported.
Neighbors, who found the bloodbath, immediately called 112. Her mother and daughter were taken to hospital. However, the girl died of her injuries.
According to unconfirmed information, the mother is in serious condition. Locals are puzzled as to what would motivate her to commit such an atrocity.
Forensic scientists are on site in Zhelyazno and are working on the case. They also clarify the mother’s motives.
