Czech tennis player Kristýna Plíšková defeated the Romanian Irina Baraová 6: 2, 7: 6 at the clay tournament in Hamburg and only crossed the first round for the second time in the season. Her next opponent will be the third seeded player Tamara Zidanšeková from Slovenia.

Plíšková did not manage the first round in nine tournaments in a row and ended the unfavorable series only last week on the grass at Wimbledon. She dealt with Bara in an hour and 38 minutes and beat her in two sets in the third match.
Twenty-nine-year-old Plíšková will play with Zidanšeková, who was eliminated in the first round of Wimbledon by her sister Karolína. In Hamburg, the 23-year-old Slovenian and semifinalist of this year’s Roland Garros had a free draw in the first round.
