/ world today news/ Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev will attend in Poland the celebrations and the conference dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.
This was announced by the office of Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski.
In Poland from May 6 to 8 will also be the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, the President of the European Council Donald Tusk and 7 other presidents – of Croatia, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Lithuania, Romania and Ukraine, the presidents of the parliaments of Slovakia, the former German President Horst Koehler, Deputy Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament and the French Defense Minister.
The celebrations will begin with the conference “Legacy of the Second World War”. The British historian Norman Davis, the American researcher Timothy Snyder, the Russian representative Natalia Lebedeva and the guest from Ukraine Andrey Portnov will take part in it. Russia will also be represented by the director of the army museum Alexander Nikonov and the historian-archivist Rudolph Pihoya. /TASS
