JawaPos.com – The new emoji reactions feature on WhatsApp was finally announced to start rolling out gradually starting Thursday (5/5). This news was announced directly by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg who officially said there was a reactions feature on WhatsApp.
He announced this information through his official accounts on Facebook and Instagram. As is known, WhatsApp itself is a line of business owned by Meta, Facebook’s current parent company.
“Reactions on WhatsApp rolls out starting today,” wrote Mark as quoted from an upload on his Instagram Stories, quoted Thursday (5/5). In the upload, he also displays the six reactions that were present this time.
First, there are features of thumbs up, heart, laugh out loud, surprised, and sad reactions. In addition, there are also reactions that are often interpreted as thanks or high fives.
Then, through another upload via Facebook, Zuckerberg also wrote that in the near future more expressions would be added to this feature. However, there is a possibility that this feature will be released gradually for all users, so not all of them can use it at this time.
The reactions feature on WhatsApp has actually been heard about rumors of its presence since last year. However, this feature only appeared in the new beta last month.
As the name implies, this feature allows users to react to messages received. In other words, WhatsApp users can now be more expressive in their reactions to messages sent by other people.
