Jakarta –
The new Daihatsu Ayla has been unveiled in Jakarta, Wednesday (15/2). Even though it has been officially introduced and launched, the urban car cannot be ordered by consumers yet.
Marketing & Customer Relations Division Head of PT Astra International Daihatsu Sales Operation (AI-DSO), Hendrayadi Lastiyoso emphasized that his party had not yet opened a faucet for ordering a new Daihatsu Ayla. In fact, this vehicle cannot be ordered at the Indonesia International Motor Show or IIMS 2023 exhibition.
“In IIMS 2023 it cannot be ordered. But consumers who are interested, can register, we will record it later so they can be contacted. As for SPK, we cannot yet,” Hendra said at the product launch in Senayan, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (15/2).
The new Daihatsu Ayla cannot be ordered because it does not yet have an official price. In addition, the specifications and features of the vehicle have not been ‘fixed’, so there is still a chance for change. However, in design and appearance, it is final.
Sri Agung Handayani as the Marketing Director of Astra Daihatsu Motor (ADM) said that his party wanted the public to see how the new Daihatsu Ayla would look like. After knowing how consumers responded, Daihatsu just announced the official price.
“Just you wait, basically information regarding detailed specs and features, including prices, we will announce soon,” said Sri Agung.
New Daihatsu Ayla Brief Specifications
The new Daihatsu Ayla looks more aggressive and sporty thanks to new curves on the face. These tiny vehicles use sharper headlights or headlamps and a more assertive grille. Other changes can also be seen on the side to the tail, including the rear light model.
The new Daihatsu Ayla uses a 1,200 WA-VE engine which is claimed to be 10 percent more fuel efficient than the previous version. Unfortunately, there is no official information regarding the power and torque that can be produced, including whether the 1,000cc engine is still being maintained or not.
But what is clear, the new Daihatsu Ayla uses a sophisticated transmission called D-CVT with the DNGA platform or Daihatsu Global Architecture. In addition, there are additional features such as Hill Start Assist Vehicle Stability Control, and Push Start/Stop Engine
