The Space and Aerospace Industry Team of Gwangjang Law Firm, along with the Korea Society for Space Security, will hold a seminar on the 12th at 2 p.m. under the theme of ‘Exploring legal policy support for space security and space industry development’ at the Gwangjang Academy Room on the first floor of the new building of Hanjin Building in Jung-gu, Seoul. The panel discussion on ‘Legal and policy support measures for space security and space industry development’ was chaired by Vice President Oh Il-seok of the Korea Space Security Association, and the panelists included Colonel Jeon Hyun-seok of the Korea Space Technology Promotion Association, Professor Eom Jeong-sik of the Air Force Academy, and LIG Nex1 satellite system research. Bareun, “Looking for upright righteous people in our society” Candidate contest for the 7th Bareun Righteous Person Award
The law firm, along with the Bareun Law Firm, is recruiting candidates for the ‘7th Bareun Righteous Person Award’ until the 30th. The ‘Righteous Person Award’ is an award established in 2018 to honor the courage and dedication of those who uphold and personally realize the right values for a just society, and the community spirit of those who silently serve the underprivileged and needy neighbors. The recommended candidates are judged by a panel of judges comprised of academics, civic groups, and media figures based on social contribution, value and importance of their contributed roles, and are selected as final winners. Winners will be announced on the public interest corporation’s website in early January next year, and winners will be awarded a plaque and prize. Last year, the 6th winner was Choi Young-ah, who worked at the Seoul Metropolitan Government Seobuk Hospital and provided medical services to vulnerable groups in cooperation with the homeless care facility ‘Eunpyeong Village’.

Sejong launches the first ‘IT&SW professional team’ among law firms…Opening a new era of IT/SW dispute resolution
Shin & Sejong Law Firm launched the ‘IT&SW Professional Team’ for the first time as a domestic law firm, and held its first IT dispute seminar on the 31st to commemorate this. Sejong plans to proactively launch an IT&SW professional team and actively respond to related legal advice and dispute resolution. The Sejong IT&SW professional team includes Attorney Joo-tak Yoon (Training Institute 33rd Class), who graduated from the Department of Electronic Engineering at Seoul National University and served as a judge at the Patent Court and a High Court Judge at the Intellectual Property Special Chamber of the Seoul High Court, as well as Attorney Yun-hee Kim (Training Institute 32nd Class), and Attorney Lee-seon Kwon (Training Institute). A number of veteran experts were present, including Attorney Joo Seok-ho (3 times), Advisor Choi Kwang-hee (former head of KISA Cyber Infringement Response Headquarters), and advisor Ju-hwan Lee (former Chief Information Security Officer of Hana Bank).
