A new PlayStation ad has fans in a frenzy. They believe that Sony appears in the video to a special presentation of the company. The same video also had to be reposted, as an earlier version showed a discount on the console too soon.
That video is the ‘Play Has No Limit’ advert below. After 47 seconds of viewing, a train timetable is visible, on which the numbers ’03 12 20:24′ can be seen. This could refer to the PlayStation or State of Play Show on December 3rd, but it could just as easily mean anything. The most logical explanation for the use of these numbers is that they refer to the 30th anniversary of PlayStation.
There is a little more going on with this commercial. It seems that the video was released a little too soon, as an earlier version – now deleted – set the price of the PlayStation 5 Slim at $379 – for the digital version. That’s already 70 knaks less, and it’s a discount that, according to the video, is valid from Black Friday until December 24th.
Whether this discount will be offered here in the Netherlands and the rest of the world remains to be seen, but it’s clearly been a busy morning at PlayStation. The video was deleted and reposted very quickly without any mention of the price of the PS5.
