PlayStation was excited about Crimson Desert

PlayStation yesterday announced a partnership with Guild Wars NCSoft, the second partnership in South Korea, after teaming up with Shift Up to promote and launch Stellar Blade. However, according to information coming from Korea, PlayStation will expand partnerships in the country.

The Korean MTN, via ResetEra, announced in June that PlayStation was preparing a partnership with NCSoft, months before the official announcement. At the time, he said that there are currently five Korean companies with which Sony Interactive Entertainment is talking to enter into collaborations or even discover investment opportunities.

Neowiz from Lies of P, Com2uS from Summoner Wars and Pear Abyss from Black Desert (which is making people talk around the world due to the Crimson Desert gameplay it shared at Gamescom) are the three other Korean companies with which the PlayStation is talking about looking for various collaboration opportunities. This could range from support in the development, launch and global promotion of games or even investment to acquire part of Korean companies.

Games like Lies of P, Black Desert and Stellar Blade, not forgetting the mobile efforts, are helping the Korean industry gain the world’s attention and Sony is paying attention to the growth of game development in the country, looking to get as quickly as possible strategic partnerships.

According to MTN, the Korean government is looking at video games as a great opportunity for economic growth and an environment has been created that allows Korean companies to enter into partnerships with Japanese companies or even financial investment, without worries.
