At the end of the PlayStation Showcase conference, PlayStation boss Jim Ryan officially introduced the new handheld, which has been speculated for a long time. The device, currently referred to as Project Q, se will be focus on game streaming through the Remote Play service.
It will offer an eight-inch display supporting a resolution of up to 1080p in combination with 60fps. The device will require a permanent internet connection to play, so it won’t be a direct competitor to the Steam Deck or Nintendo Switch.
In a brief presentation, Ryan highlighted the controls it is supposed to support all known functions of the DualSense controller. At the same time, new pocket PlayStation headphones were revealed.
