TRIBUNNEWS.COM, NEW YORK – Sony Interactive Entertainmentconsole management company PlayStationstart stopping all software deliveries and hardware ke Russia as a sanction given for the invasion Russia to Ukraine.
“Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) joins the global community in calling for peace in Ukraine,” SIE spokesman Joe Taraborrelli said in a statement shared with The Verge.
“We have suspended all shipments of software and hardwareGran Turismo 7 launch and operation PlayStation Store of Russia.” he added.
Quoted from The Verge, Thursday (10/3/2022) Sony has donated about 2 million US dollars to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and the NGO Save the Children as a form of support for those affected by the invasion.
In a separate post, Bungie, which is in the process of being acquired by Sony, said it was working to suspend all sales and distribution of Destiny 2 in Russia and Belarus.

Users in these countries can continue to access previously purchased content or download the free version, but new purchases are currently on hold.
Previously, SIE followed other companies including Activision Blizzard, Epic Games, EA, CD Projekt Red, Ubisoft, and Take-Two in stopping sales in Russia.
