With December in mind Sony Group Corp. SONY has announced the exciting range of games available as part of its PS Plus subscription service.
PlayStation is also celebrating its 30th anniversary with a series of special events for players in a Blogpost were presented in detail.
Available from December 3rd to January 6th, December’s Games of the Month include a mix of genre-defining titles, beloved classics and fresh experiences for new and long-time fans of the PlayStation ecosystem.

December PS Plus games: a diverse line-up
PS Plus subscribers of all levels – Essential, Extra and Premium – can look forward to three outstanding titles to download in December:
- It Takes Two (PS4, PS5): This award-winning cooperative adventure from Hazelight Studio has overwhelmed players with its heart-touching story and innovative gameplay. Players are tasked with navigating the emotional journey of two dolls come to life as they work together to overcome obstacles and save their relationship.
- Aliens: Dark Descent (PS4, PS5): Set in the iconic Alien universe, this real-time tactical action game invites players to control a group of Colonial Marines as they fight to survive the deadly Xenomorphs. With a captivating storyline and intense combat, it is a must-have for fans of the series.
- TemTem (PS5): Inspired by Pokémon, the MMO adventure TemTem features an expansive world in which players can capture, train and battle unique creatures called TemTem. The game continues to evolve, and its arrival on PS Plus offers players an easy entry into this growing online community.
In addition to the games of the month for December, PS Plus Premium members will have access to a new trial for Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2 starting December 3rd. The trial gives players the opportunity to experience the fast-paced third-person shooter in the Warhammer universe experience before deciding to purchase the full game.
PS2 classics return
For Premium subscribers, the catalog of classics is expanded to include three legendary PS2 platformers:
- Sly 2: Band of Thieves
- Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves
- Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy
Free online multiplayer and esports tournament
Sony is also offering a free online multiplayer weekend for both PS4 and PS5 users from December 6th to 8th, meaning players will not need a PS Plus subscription to enjoy the online game during this period. to enjoy playing.
Additionally, PlayStation is hosting an esports tournament during the same weekend with popular titles such as EA Sports FC 25, NBA 2K25, Tekken 8, Mortal Kombat 1, Madden NFL 25, College Football 25, UFC 5, MLB The Show 24 and Guilty Gear Strive.

- 30 months PS Plus Premium: A competition will take place from December 10th to 23rd in which 30 winners will each receive 30 months of PS Plus Premium.
- 30% off movies on Sony Pictures Core: From December 3rd to December 9th, PlayStation users can enjoy significant discounts on films available on Sony’s streaming platform.
- Film credit on Sony Pictures Core: From December 10th to January 10th, Sony Pictures Core movie credit will be added to every 12-month PS Plus membership purchase.
Don’t forget the November games
As December’s games arrive, PlayStation subscribers should make sure they grab November’s titles before they disappear. This month players can still download:
- Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged
