The Turkish WRC rally started on Friday night with the first two stages. In the first 13.9 km long dopa, the fastest was Terry Neivill, who used his good starting position. He lost 3.3 seconds to Sebastian Leb, who had an even better starting position. Sebastian Ojier, who went first on the track, lost 5.1 seconds to the leader in fifth place.
In the second dopa, the only pilot who did not complain about the dust was Ogie, who went first on the track. Although the break between the riders was two minutes, the other riders were disappointed. Both Tanaks and Noivils gave harsh words to the organizers, as these riders, like the others, were forced to fight with impaired visibility. The fastest in the second stage was Ojie, while the second fastest time was shown by Leb, who started behind all the leading WRC riders.

So, after the first two days of the first stage, the leader is Lebe, for whom this is the first rally since the Monte Carlo WRC stage in January. As the WRC voice of Becky Williams admitted, in a conversation with him, Labe admitted that during this time, while others were taking part in the race, he was playing a home rally on a playstation, and in parallel he was building a house for himself.
The second after the first day is Neuwil, who loses 1.2 seconds, and the third is Ogie, who is 1.3 seconds behind. Meanwhile, Ots Tanaks takes only the seventh place after the first day, which will make him drive as one of the first tomorrow, when he will have to take six dops.
Among the R5 class cars, the leader is Adriens Formaks, for whom Vilkinson Bulasija loses only 1.1 seconds, while the pole known in Latvia Kejatans Kajetanovičs is 13.5 seconds behind.
