Every year, Sony holds Days of Play, the usual celebration for the gaming community, with more promotions waiting for us if it hadn’t been good enough already. But then, promotional games or gifts are never enough, are they? This time we can expect even more community events and of course rewards, and we can multiply for free. Let’s see the details!
On the one hand, there will once again be a PlayStation Player Celebration, where players can compete for a common goal, but more importantly, they can win exclusive PSN avatars and PS4 themes. You can register from today until May 31st on this pageif we want to take part in the competition. The first round starts on May 18th and there will be 2 more.
We have various weekly community goals or tournaments waiting for us, which can be played with both PS4 and PS5 games. Under the Games Goal, you have to play X amounts of games that are available on those platforms, and your score doubles when you play with users on your friends list (of course, this requires them to register as well). At least 1 hour spent on each game counts towards the result.
As part of the Trophies Goal, we must collect trophies as appropriate, and in addition to these, we may earn bonus points if we have already completed both the play and trophy collection goals. For trophies, a maximum of 6 PS4 or PS5 trophies can belong to a participating game.
The first round will take place between May 18 and 25, with a community goal of playing 2.4 million games plus 7.2 million trophies, with a bonus of 3 million and 8.8 million in the same categories. The prizes: after reaching the goals, we get a PS4 dynamic theme and an exclusive PSN avatar, and as a bonus, 3 more avatars hit our mark.
The second round will take place from May 25th to June 1st, with 2.9M games and 8.5M trophies in the goal, with a bonus of 3.6M and 10.4M in the same categories. The basic reward is 5 PSN avatars, the bonus this time is 3 more exclusive PSN avatars.
The third and final round is June 1-8. lasts between and then 3M game and 9M trophy is the main goal, the bonus is 3.7M and 11M in the same categories. The rewards are: exclusive PS4 dynamic theme and PSN avatar, and the bonus is again 3 more exclusive PSN avatars. Of course, there will also be Days of Play Celebration Sale again this year, with a special offer in the PlayStation Store and other stores for PS products, but we will be informed about this later by Sony.
