PlayStation animator may be hinting at 2022 release of The Last of Us remake

Of course, we have to take this with a grain of salt, as there is certainly some speculation involved. But hey, you can always speculate. Robert Morrison, who currently works as an animator for PlayStation Studios Visual Arts, hints via a series of Tweets that he’s working on a major project for Sony due this year. And no, it’s not God of War Ragnarök.

PlayStation Studios Visual Arts is believed to be working on the aforementioned The Last of Us remake. Could it be that Morrison refers to this in his posts?

Earlier sources have already reported that a The Last of Us remake could best be released this year. The HBO series is also currently in development, but a 2022 release has already been ruled out. Will we get the remake this year already?

Until Sony makes an official announcement, we won’t know. Until then, we can only guess.
