The PlayStation 5 will not immediately be in stores on November 19: worldwide, the new game console will only be available online on the first day. Sony wants to avoid long queues at stores, it reports company Thursday.
Sony fears that otherwise situations will arise in which consumers cannot keep their distance from each other and therefore run the risk of a corona infection. People who have pre-ordered their PlayStation from a store can pick it up.
Last month, the PlayStation 5 could already be ordered and the game console was almost immediately sold out. It is still unknown when Dutch web shops will receive new stocks.
