Several Japanese journalists and bloggers released First impressions of the PlayStation 5 video clips. They did not tell much about the console’s capabilities and its functional characteristics, but they did show how the PS5 handles games.
Since the journalists were given preview units of the PS5 with a floppy drive, they could not look at the interface and try out any functions. Mostly Japanese bloggers have been able to demonstrate incredible loading speed after death in games like Astro’s Playroom – it’s pre-installed on PS5, so it’s already thoroughly optimized.
With other games like Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition and Godfall, it turned out that the new console was quiet and the body was barely warm. At the same time, the illumination in DualSense has become much better than in DualShock 4, since it does not actually distract the user from the game.
In the Japanese edition Dengeki said that the DualSense has become much larger and heavier than the DualShock 4. All this is due to the emergence of new functions and an increase in battery capacity, however, the large weight, according to journalists, does not affect ergonomics.
4Gamer.net points out that the PS5 has a strange silver latch in the top right section that possibly serves as a tool to access the interior of the console. Sony has probably made good on its promise to add space expansion with SSDs.
