PlayStation 5 presentation – We expect to see this

The high word is out, on June 11 we will receive a presentation from Sony dedicated to the PlayStation 5. If we can believe the PlayStation blog, we will not be introduced to the console on Thursday, but we will get a good presentation too see with games that will be available on the PlayStation 5. Of course we look forward to the presentation and these are some of the games that we expect to see during the presentation.

Horizon Zero Dawn 2

It seems almost certain that we will see new information and hopefully gameplay footage from Horizon Zero Dawn 2. The first part dates from 2017 and that has given Guerrilla Games three years to work on a second part. It’s no secret that the Dutch studio helped develop Death Stranding, but we know the game is in development in Amsterdam. According to previous reports, the game may contain co-op and the second part is part of a trilogy. We would like to see what the story and the wonderful world of Horizon will look like on PlayStation 5.

Gran Turismo 7

The PlayStation racing game is still the Gran Turismo series. A while ago a vague message surfaced about Gran Turismo 7, but the game has not yet been officially announced. It would therefore come as no surprise that the racing game gets its first footage at the upcoming presentation. Racing games are on the rise due to the lack of real races and that is why I think it would be a good move to show the new Gran Turismo now. It wouldn’t be surprising if the next Gran Turismo would be available even on the release of the PlayStation 5.

Ratchet and Clank

Because on release there should be something for everyone to play. For the adventure enthusiasts, for example, Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla or Horizon Zero Dawn 2. For the racing enthusiasts Gran Turismo 7 and Dirt 5, but what comes out for the younger generation of gamers? We hope for a new Ratchet and Clank game. The series has been around for years, but the last game is already from 2002. Now Insomniac Games is of course busy with Spider-Man – and hopefully Spider-Man 2 – but a new Ratchet and Clank would still work for some people at IGN be a systemseller.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

It is a certainty that a new Call of Duty will be released in 2020. The rumor mill is already in full swing for the game and would return to the Black Ops universe. For now, we only have to deal with rumors, but it should come as no surprise to see something of a new Call of Duty on PlayStation. In recent years, Call of Duty has had a deal with Sony and we get a lot of content on PlayStation first. You can think of this as Xbox being the first to share new footage of Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla. We may see more about the new Call of Duty during the presentation, although it could of course also be a teaser for the new season of Warzone and the confirmation that that game is available on PlayStation 5 on release.

God of War 2

This is more wishful thinking than I actually expect to see a lot more from a sequel to my favorite game from 2018. God of War is still the best game on PlayStation 4 for me and I really hope we have a sequel shall see. We know that developer Santa Monica Studios had so many ideas for DLC that it won’t come out. Hopefully those stories will be used in the next part and we’ll see a little trailer where we hear Kratos say his well-known “BOY”.

The surprise

A presentation would not be complete if we get something we don’t see coming at all. Sony almost always manages to process a surprise during its presentations. We therefore hope to see a completely new game series that makes clear what next-gen really has in store for us.

What are you still missing?

In this list, you’re likely to miss Spider-Man 2. Rumor has it that there will be another PlayStation presentation in August, where we’ll likely learn more about the console’s looks and price. We secretly hope to see the latest Thursday, but we also hope for more games. It is possible that Sony will show one of its big exclusives tomorrow and save the rest for later. Spider-Man would fit this list, but also Crash Bandicoot, since Activision is still working on an existing IP. Recently there have also been rumors of Bloodborne for PS5 and PC, which we hope to see soon.

The PlayStation 5 presentation will be shown on our homepage on June 11, 2020 at 10:00 PM. Until then, if you want more information about possible PlayStation 5 games that we are going to see, you can go to our podcast where we were 45 minutes long talk about our expectations.
