Destruction AllStars will still not be a launch game for PlayStation 5. Sony and developer Lucid Games have moved the action game out of November, and are instead betting on a release sometime in February 2021.
The postponement is also not the only change in the launch plans for Destruction AllStars. As Sony’s head of product development – Pete Smith – was able to tell, the game will now be included in the PlayStation Plus subscription on PlayStation 5, in an attempt to reach more people.
– Destruction AllStars is a multiplayer game that is at its best when you compete online with players from all over the world. We want as many people as possible to experience the chaos on PlayStation 5, and there is no better way to achieve that than to give away the game to our PlayStation Plus members, Smith explained.
Via the official PlayStation blog Sony announces that Destruction AllStars will be available for free via PlayStation Plus for two months from launch date. A more accurate release date will be shared next week, along with a new trailer and more information on all the game has to offer.
Sony also added that anyone who has pre-ordered Destruction AllStars, either digitally or physically, will get their money back.
