PlayStation 5 has annoying download bug with drastic fix

Kamp Xbox had launched this generation with its new product a few days earlier, but now the PlayStation 5 has also been launched. But both consoles have their teething problems. For example, the Xbox Series X refuses to accept discs for some owners, and others report things like malfunctioning Quick Resume functionality. There is also a lot going on fake news about spontaneously igniting consoles over the internet. But the PlayStation 5 is also not free of problems: the firmware contains a bug that makes it impossible to download games.

A game can get stuck on queued for downloading of download error, after which the user is directed to the download list – where there is no trace of the game in question. In this case it is impossible to restart the download. The only solution for now: back to factory settings – and thus the initial setup. In addition, you have lost all your local data, including save games. Unless you backup your saves in the PlayStation Plus cloud, you can start over in any of your games.

But this solution is just a wipe for bleeding, because even after one factory reset the problem may recur. Sony has not yet commented on the bug, but is aware of it. It is therefore not yet known when a solution to this problem will be found.
