PlayStation 5 outclasses Xbox
An analysis by Ameper Analysis shows that this year PlayStation 5 outclassed Xbox Series X/S in terms of sales. During this time, the Sony console reached 22.5 million users. This result is as much as 65 percent. better than in 2022.
For comparison, in 2023, Xbox Series X/S was supposed to find only 7.6 million buyers last year. This means that PS5 has sold three times better than its competitor in the last 12 months.
What is behind PlayStation’s huge success? Certainly the most important reason is simply exclusive games like Spider-Man 2 and God of War: Ragnarok. Microsoft does not have such high-profile productions in its portfolio, and the much-announced Starfield turned out to be mediocre.
User habit also plays an important role. Many people choose PS5 because they previously had PS4 or PS3 and simply appreciate the Japanese console. Sony hopes that PlayStation 5 will eventually overtake PlayStation 4 in terms of sales, which reached as much as 117.4 million.
