The PlayStation 5 will not be sold separately in stores on November 19. The game console can be ordered online or picked up at the store with a reservation. Sony wants to avoid long queues at stores, it writes company Thursday.
Sony fears that otherwise situations will arise in which consumers cannot keep their distance from each other and therefore run the risk of a corona infection. People who have pre-ordered their PlayStation from a store can pick it up. The question is therefore whether this decision actually prevents rows.
Last month, the PlayStation 5 could already be ordered and the game console was almost immediately sold out. It is still unknown when Dutch web shops will receive new stocks.
