Unstable performance isn’t the only problem Star Wars Jedi: Survivor players are facing. Some gamers who received additional content in the deluxe version or pre-order have found that their bonus items have disappeared after a recent update.
“I pre-ordered the deluxe edition of Jedi Survivor and had all the extra content in the first few days,” u/Tae17Yong wrote on Reddit. “Went in yesterday and all the DLC content is gone. I bought the game from the EA store, so I tried to restore the game, but it didn’t work. I restarted the computer, turned it off and on again, deleted the game and redownloaded it. However, all the content still missing.”
Then the missing items reappeared, but disappeared again in the same mysterious way as the midi-chlorians in Star Wars. Players reported the same issue in DLC user reviews on Steam.
The EA community manager stated that they are “aware of the reports and are investigating the issue.” As a possible solution, they suggest “trying to restore the game files to see if that restores access to bonus items, or to make sure the DLCs are properly installed”.
Pre-order bonuses include a Hermit cosmetic set and a lightsaber set that allows you to dress up Cal Kestis as Obi-Wan Kenobi (Jedi: Survivor takes place at the same time as the Obi-Wan TV series), as well as a set of firearms. The deluxe version contains two cosmetic sets, one inspired by Han Solo and the other inspired by Luke Skywalker.
Previous updates have brought some performance improvements, though there still seems to be a lot of issues to be fixed. Other issues reported by players include a certain enemy that can kill you in such a way that experience flies away and cannot be recovered, and a boss that, if you kill him at the same time as he kills you, becomes invincible in subsequent attempts.
