Players on Steam have recently seen a huge surge in interest in Battlefield 5

Author of the portal PSGamesN noticedthat the number of concurrent players in Battlefield V Steam has jumped 215% in the last few days.

A new peak was reached on November 23, when the shooter had almost 78 thousand players. At the same time, the maximum peak that the game reached two years ago almost reached 90 thousand users.

Interestingly, during the same period on November 23, the peak online for Battlefield 2042 slightly exceeded 43 thousand people. True, last October the game still surpassed the current BF5 record with its attendance figures (over 107 thousand players).

It is possible that the current success of Battlefield 5 was influenced by a large discount on Steam, which amounts to as much as 92%.

Problems with online performance on Steam are also observed in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (2023), which is significantly inferior to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II (2022) according to data for November. In the latter case, the average was close to 225 thousand players, while Modern Warfare 3 averaged closer to 86 thousand over the past 30 days.

Previously Modern Warfare 3 earned low ratings from critics and players and has already received the first discount in PS Store. A EA recently spoke about further support for the Battlefield series.
