Ibaraki Robots Announce Transfer of Taiga Kagitomi to Fighting Eagles Nagoya

Ibaraki Robots, a professional basketball team in the B.LEAGUE, has announced that the player contract with #24 Taiga Kagitomi will expire at the end of the 2022-23 season. Kagitomi will be transferring to Fighting Eagles Nagoya.

Taiga Kagitomi, a shooting guard standing at 195cm and weighing 89kg, was born on March 8, 1999, in Tokyo. He attended Ohori High School attached to Fukuoka University before continuing his education at St. Thomas More School and Bowdoin College. Kagitomi joined the Ibaraki Robots for the 2022-23 season.

During the 2022-23 season, Kagitomi played in 12 games, averaging 2:46 minutes per game. He scored a total of 12 points, with an average of 1.0 points per game. The team has also announced the list of B.LEAGUE free negotiating players, including Kohei Fukuzawa (#2), Cameron Kratwig (#15), Jawara Joseph (#88), and Asahi Tashima (#8).

In terms of departures, Shotaro Hayashi (#33) has transferred to the Fukushima Firebonds. The transfer destination for Kohei Fukuzawa (#2) will be announced at a later date. Lastly, Taiga Kagitomi (#24) will be transferring to Fighting Eagles Nagoya.
