Wolfgang Bandion and Tatjana Weghofer want to play properly after the pandemic with their newly founded association “Pik Blech”.

“We want to bring the cozy and the rustic back to life with music,” said chairwoman Tatjana Weghofer and deputy Wolfgang Bandion, explaining the founding of the “Pik Blech” music association, referring to the time before the corona pandemic and the old, Austrian tradition of Tavern and wine tavern music, as once embodied by Hans Moser.
Since the couple’s leisure time revolves around music and socializing, the name “Pik Blech” is also intended to bridge the gap between playing cards and cozy get-togethers. “With our group of eight we play informally, gathered around a table, in restaurants and at parties. This means that we offer rustic wine tavern music for smaller celebrations and are not in competition with the much larger, local Raiffeisen music association, of which we are also members and will continue to play, ”explains chairwoman and flugelhorn player Tatjana Weghofer.
Since the association was founded in November 2020 during the pandemic, joint rehearsals and performances have so far hardly been feasible. However, the musicians want to take part in the folk music evening in Pyhra in the summer, play on ship trips along the Danube and in future also present their musical pieces in other federal states and Switzerland.
